Exploring, scientifically, sunflowers. Using their 5 senses, magnifying glasses and tweezers students dissected sunflowers, pulling out the seeds and looking at all the parts of the flower. What is that cottony white stuff under the seeds? What does it do? Why are some seeds easy to remove and harder in other flowers? So much discovery here!
