Another great year of the Bumblebees participating in the Science Fair. The students were all very well informed about their work. Thanks to all the parents who put in countless hours of assistance. There were also great learning experiences happening as we toured the school and had so many other kids explain their science to us.

Put some paint, an Alka-Seltzer and a little water in a closed film canister, set it down and back up! The chemical reaction causes lots of excitement in explosive, artistic STEAM fun!

We are so proud of the amazing work all the lower school students at Seabury did in their performance this week. Acting, singing, playing instruments, running a Foley pit, making entrances and exits, being off stage quietly, and creating an entertaining show for everyone. Bravo, Brava!!

In our study of space we made rockets today. Students designed, built, and used breath as propulsion to make their own rockets fly across the room. NASA would be proud of all our little astro-engineers.

In honor of the 2018 Winter Olympics, we froze Lego people  into ice cubes and raced them down tracks in the style of luge, bobsled and skeleton. The races were exciting as we experienced melting, friction, gravity, elevation, acceleration and deceleration. The experiment was a lesson in physics using the simple machine inclined plane.

A bittersweet goodbye and farewell to our dear Ms. Lora. Ladybugs and Bumblebees made her a t-shirt of our hand prints and a book of our self-portraits. We will miss her smiling face!
