An important part of our distance learning, Seabury style, has been our Zoom meetings. We have full class meetings with all the Bumblebees multiple times a week, we can do individual meetings, or meetings with the Ladybugs and Bumblebees together. This week, for the first time, we will try a whole school meeting to celebrate starting a new month. Nothing replaces being in school together, but these face to face meetings help us stay connected and feel less lonely for one another. We are lucky to have such good technology to help us with our school work and our friendships. Here is a Bumblebee with his class, doing school from home. We are all so proud of how hard everyone is working to stay caught up and connected.

Another Bumblebee hard at work for distance learning. You can see he is working on writing for Writer's Workshop, music for his performing arts class, and some visual art for Art class reflecting the time we are all struggling through. I am so proud of how hard the Bumblebees and their families are working to make distance learning Seabury style a success. I am so grateful for the pictures that show me how the kids are doing at home. We can make this work because we have grit and determination and a growth mindset. Good work, Bumblebee!

While we are doing distance learning Seabury style at home I thought I would focus on one of the Bumblebees at a time. Here is the first one and some of her work from home. She wrote three great facts about Neptune for our space book and study of space. She also did some great writing about the weather. She is working hard at home and her family has been so great about sharing her work with me so that I have a good sense of how it is going for her at home. I certainly miss us all being in class together but we are all working from home as best we can. Good job, Bumblebee!
